Adele Gives The Finger To The Suits At The 2012 Brit Awards

Global singing sensation Adele won as the Best British Female and took home the Best Album award, for 21, during the 2012 Brit Awards held last night.

During her acceptance speech was unceremoniously cut short by ITV, the broadcaster, due to time constraints. Out of frustration, she gestured a middle finger which she later clarified to be meant for "the suits".

She says in an interview, "I was about to thank the British public for their support and they cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me."

"... that finger was to the suits at the Brit Awards, not to my fans," she clarifies back stage.

Brit Awards host, James Corden and the station has already apologized for the incident.

In a statement, ITV told reporters, "The Brits is a live event, sadly the program was over-running and we had to move on. We would like to apologize to Adele for the interruption. We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning her incredible award."
