Adam Lambert Could Be Next American Idol Judge

According to several entertainment news sources, the reality series and singing talent contest, American Idol, is hoping to get former contestant, Adam Lambert as judge for next season.

The Season 8 runner up is apparently in talks to join Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson on the judges table. Meanwhile, this news only reinforces the possibility that Jennifer Lopez could be leaving American Idol as judge by Season 12.

"I don't know if I can go for a third year," Lopez told fellow judge alumni, Ellen DeGeneres in her show. "I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year."

Meanwhile, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly have hinted last May that American Idol will receive "some creative invigoration" - which could mean that there will be a new judge on the other side of the stage next year.

Currently, Adam Lambert has sold more than 4.2 million albums worldwide and has become a Grammy nominee. His sophomore album, Trespassing, has debuted in No. 1 on Billboard last May.
