One of the most renowned expert in hairdressing, Vidal Sassoon, has finally succumbs to his leukemia and died inside his home in Los Angeles Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
He was best known for his shampoo brand but has always been considered an expert in suburban women's hair style and grooming.
Sassoon was born in London where he made a name for himself with sleek, wash-and-go hair dos which many women at that time found liberating from the popular stiff and high-maintenance looks of the 1960's.
Sassoon rose to the peak of his career in the 80s, when he sold his name to Proctor & Gamble to become a shampoo and conditioner brand. This decision made him a household name worldwide.
Vidal Sassoon was 84 years old. He will be missed.
