Say goodbye to the multicolored Windows flag which you've been used to for the past 20 years and say hello to the new Windows 8 logo below.
Microsoft has just unveiled a similar but completely different redesign of the Windows logo that highlights its Metro design concept.
With cleaner lines and more aesthetic typography, the new logo as created by agency, Pentagram, is reminiscent of its earliest days of existence.

The Windows flag logo came during Windows 3.1 and has been criticized by Pentagram's Paula Scher, "Your name is Windows. Why are you a flag?" Thus the common sense change in their work.
Finally, it should be noted that the new Microsoft Windows logo is not losing all its colors. In fact, it's getting much more because while the logo above is in blue, according to the company, users will be allowed to change the logo's color according to their preference.
