At the turn of the new month of June, "AMBO" is the first tropical storm to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for this year.
As it also marks the end of the summer season in the country, it also brings heavy rains that affected the island of Luzon and some parts of the Visayas.
Tropical Storm "AMBO" has intensified further and is now moving in a northward direction according to PAG-ASA.
The change in the weather shifted from very hot and dry to very wet and windy at the end of May.
This will spell a rainy start of the school year which begins this June.
